comments I was browsing the bulletin board and saw my last entry as 98'. A whole life-time ago it seems like. For those who don’t know, I’m back in Texas (Austin). Kinda got tired of the Far East. Finally shut down the business after 12 years of fun. Didn’t do much for about a year, just kicked back, took it easy and spent time with my family. I almost felt retired till the money started running out. Damn… I’ve recently partnered up with a few guys here who are into wireless broadband for Internet access. Our company is called Shield Networks. We’ve done some pretty cool stuff in the last couple of months and are on our way to hopefully doing more. One of the coolest things we’ve done is to surf the net at 10 Mbps (megabits) while driving down 6th street in down town Austin. Our sellable bandwidth right now is 155 Mbps. I see Mark Fulton from time to time. In fact, saw him 2 weeks ago. I have to be honest, I haven’t kept in touch as much as I should, but will try more. When is the reunion? Gotta get. I can also be reached at gabrielg@shield.com Later Gabe

comments Hy everyone. I only recognise one person from the class of 1980. I Hope more early "80's alumni will show up in Vancouver for the 2000 reunion. I realy looking forward to seeing what surprises 20 years can bring. ISKL was and probably still is the greates place. There will always be a bond even if you only attended it for a bit. And, by the way, i have the lost tapes from the old teen centre. We've titled it "ARATAS DOMINUS SPIRITUS". Be good everybody

comments Just to everyone who is coming to Vancouver.. If I can get my butt out there I'll be there.. Just look for something large and hairy.. NO _NOT_ SASQUATCH!! All depends on what happens in the next few weeks with work as it looks like we may be moving the shop into some new digs.. If can make it I'll be there..also working on a little bit of scanning of things I dug up out of the past..FISHWRAP anyone?? And somewhere around here is an ancient cassette of one wild nite at the old Teen Center. As IF any one can remember a certain longhaired drummer and his mate in crime who made guitars beg for mercy.... bye.

comments Teresa, Yea ! Thanks for responding. I was pretty convinced that no one would for a while. I'm one of those fairly pathetic individuals who have not mastered the whole internet/email concept, so bare with me while I muddle through. I realized last time I wrote, that I really did not give you any idea what I did for a living. I said I was an assistant director, but not really of what. HIM is Health Information Management. In other words we maintain the integrity of patient and hospital specific information for patient care and statistical reasons. Before I got this job, I never even thought what about the record department. But there really is so much involved. To ensure that I do my job properly, I've had to master medical terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, disease processes and other fairly intense courses that franly, I wasn't sure I had the cranial capasity to do. But low and behold, I seem to have found my nitch. As a matter of fact, last summer, my mom had a massive heart attack wich resulted in a quaduruple bypass and I ended up assuming the lead position as I had to explain to my family what to expect and try to break things down to laymans terms. As I have found out, physicians still are reluctant to really let the patient in on what's going on in regard to their care. Although this is in no way how I saw myself living at (dare I say it) 37 years old, it's not so bad. Arizona is a beautiful state with great weather and lots to do. All in all, I've made a pretty good life for myself. I do think about KL alot and remember some of the really special times, wish I had done some things differently, but hey, water under the bridge. Waiting to find a really good picture of Mark (hunkalisous if I do say so) and myself to post, but I have never been too photogenic. Believe it or not, I haven't really changed too much physically. Thank God I have changed mentally. (For the better, I hope) Still have the same goofy sense of humor. Still love to sing, but can't carry a tune, still. (In fact, Mark turned to me in church one day and said "Honey, it says Make a joyful noise) Gosh, just realized I was writing a novel. Sorry. I was just so excited to finally find you guys.

comments Just stumbled on this page. Wow ! What a blast. Teresa, it was wonderful reading your long letter. I have often wondered what everyone was up to. We still keep in touch with Sharon Olsen, Steve, David and John's mom. She has been to Arizona to see my folks and I've had time to visit with her. I have, for the last 14 years, been working in a Health Information Management department in Casa Grande, Arizona. I was Recently promoted to the Assistant Director position. (Fits me well if any of you can recall how bossy I have always been.) I am currently studing for my credentialling certification which I hope to sit for in October. It was exciting to read about all the weddings and babies. I am still not married (and very happy that way) although Mark and I have been together for 14 years this month. We have no children but are happy with our two dogs and two cats. We are currently living in his grandmothers 70 year old farm house on 5 acreas that we are trying to restore to it's former glory. Yeah like that will happen until we win the lottery. But it keeps us busy and out of trouble. Well, I guess that's enough for now. I would love to hear from some of you guys. Sandra Ayers, Kiki, Susan. I think of ya'll often.

comments Malaysia always seemed to me to be in a different time-space dimension. This was a country in which witch doctors (Bomos) and dragons (Monitor Lizards) actually existed. May be I got an especially strong dose of this aspect of the country as I spent two years in remote Kuantan before moving to KL. Saw an ‘interesting’ article in the September 23, 1999, issue of the Far Eastern Economic Review (www.feer.com) about ISKL, which shows things really haven’t changed that much. It appears the government has thrown a Wall Street Journal reporter in jail over a squabble on the ISKL debate team. Go figure!

comments It's just great that I've stumbled across this site and with so many familiar names and "faces". Just a run through of my previous & currnet life. Since graduating in 1982, I went off to Switzerland to study Hotel Management, been living there for till 1990. Had a alpine resort management company, but gave it up after some politics. Returned to KL, built & opened the largest club in Malaysia in a shape of a 7 storey Pyramid. Did top international shows/bands etc. Have now the 2 "Riverbank" restaurant & pub, a dance club called "Scandals" under construction and a major restaurant called "All Stars Sports Cafe" also under construction. Have been very active in racing personal water crafts (jet skis) since my return. Was ranked top 10 in the world after the World Championship in France representing Malaysia. Still compete in regional events. Am getting involved in some manner with Formula One with Malaysia being the latest host country through the legendary triple World Champion Jackie Stewart (a personal friend) who owns the Stewart-Ford Racing Formula One team. About to check out San Francisco on openning a Malaysian restaurant within the month. So if anyone is in the region or is involved with and food & beverage business, please contact me. For those of you who knew me & attended my house parties, I'm still living there with a couple of new additions to the house. Welcome to drop by anytime!

comments Hello! … and an update from me!

The Web page still looks great! Hope this finds you well. Thought if you got the chance you may be able to post some of this into your bulletin board - sorry, but can’t update via Paul’s IBM email user.

Well here we are in the UK ….. freezing our butts off for the past few months (Ah … it’s not too bad) - but we keep thinking of that lovely hot Aussie weather!!
Have established ourselves here quite well - in Altrincham, Cheshire - about ½ hour south of Manchester - on the verge of the Cheshire countryside, so can’t complain! Plan to be here another 12 months!!

Paul (my hubby) has been busy with IBM dotting to & fro, from here to London & Sweden (now look who’s in the Traveller’s seat!) We’ve all spent several weeks down in London (which is great) and had a fab week in Ireland before Christmas - loved it !!!

I unfortunately don’t have access to the Internet (let alone a PC) to keep in touch as often as I did - but now the lap-top is home and up and running - just wanted to say G’day!!

Our boys are well and growing so fast. Michael is now 4 and attending "Nursery School" - the Aussie equivalent of Pre-School - and he loves it!! Stephen our 1 year old is walking everywhere & getting into everything!! They are the Pride & Joys of our life !!

Have been in touch, as always, with Angelica "Mayer" Urban who gave birth to a healthy baby boy - "Martin Michael" 3 weeks ago! Also Sakinah Kosem (class of ’81) called me before Christmas & she’s well and living in Paris with her husband and 2 children. Nicole Harrison is moving back to Brisbane to be a Head teacher at her old boarding school - "Stuartholme".

Sharon "Cambell" Knox (along with Eileen, Angelica, etc) may remember "The Italian Hockey Team" (in KL, March ’80) - I have kept in touch all these years with Piergiorgio & he’s great & in the Real Estate business in Sardegna!
Eileen … expect to hear some news from you soon & see you over here - that’ll be great!!
Thanks Stewart for your email and update - shame I didn’t know you were in the Bahamas as I was over there 2 ½ years ago, but I’ll be in touch soon!!

A BIG HELLO to all those who have recently "logged on" - we all should keep in touch!!

Hey yeah Tracey - I remember all those places you mention
Sheila - haven’t heard from you in a while !! Likewise Matt, Ron and Pete A. - please keep in touch !!
Stacey - I’ll be in touch soon and send you those pics!!
Matt - hope all’s well with you & yours.
Pete A … you were right … this place (UK) is backwards in lots of ways!!
Hello again to Mark Fulton & hope you got my message in reply to your email!!

… I’m making the most of this (as you can see) while I can! Gosh I miss the Internet!!!

Hello Chris and Alex (again … cheers!) & Cigdem - I was glad to see your name there in the contact list after all these years!!! Still singing? I’ll always remember "Way off Broadway" and you as a great Mother Superior in "The Sound of Music"!!

Hey … ex Chorus Members … Gretehen, Shelly, Mark, Marc B, Sharon, … etc … I often think of us performing and my "daggy" choreoghraphy - hah!!! Remember??? I wish I had a video - but hah - I still have the tapes!!!
"McArthurs Park", "Treat him well, he’s your brother" - What were those ‘other’ words we used to substitute? - hah!

Anyway, I’d love to hear from everyone/anyone, so let’s keep in touch and hope we can meet again some sunny day!

CHEERS, BIG EARS!

Theresa "Terri" (Watts) Keast

ps. You can still email me via my hubby’s work email (8keastp@uk.ibm.com).
